Benefits of Eating Organic Food
An organic food minimizes the exposure towards pesticides
which have been proven to cause a large amount of toxic to be
accumulated in the diet and is especially critical for
children. Organic grown foods have reduced the amount of heavy
metal such as lead and mercury. There is a large amount of
fiber and nutrients in organic food, therefore the body are
able to absorb more of them. Organic food normally tastes
better than normal grown food.
Organic food promotes environmental friendliness by not
using any pesticides or chemicals to destroy the soil or
land.
There are more antioxidants in Organic Food. Antioxidants
scavenge free radicals and transform them into non-damaging
compounds. These prevent cellular damage, which in turn slows
ageing, strengthens immunity, and decrease the risk of cancer
and other health problems.
Common antioxidants include Vitamins A, C and E and
compounds called carotenoids, such as beta-carotenem which
gives fruits and vegetables its deep and rich color.
Deep-colored fruits and vegetables, such as blueberries, plums,
strawberries, broccoli, and red cabbage, are rich in
antioxidants.
